About Us

Association for Computer Machinery Women's Chapter

NYU's ACM-W is the first student chapter at the Tandon School of Engineering to focus on celebrating and giving opportunities to women in computing machinery. Our past meetings included workshops on designing web portfolios, creating projects with GitHub, and coding on Raspberry Pi.

The Association for Computing Machinery - Women's Chapter or ACM-W is an association that celebrates, supports and informs women in the STEM field. We host a variety of events such as:

  • workshops on trending technological topics
  • guest speakers from the industry
  • field trips to companies such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, and more

Mission Statement

ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and resources to ACM members and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women.
